Twin Tiger
Built this one last year from a Sig Tiger 60 ARF. Has 2 MDS.68s and accelarates like it came out of a slingshot!! 1/3- 1/2 throttle is all it needs to rotate other wise there is not enought rudder to overcome that torque. Engine outs are manageable but glide ratio is not so good, and the elevator needs about 1/2inch more area. What do ya think??

RE: Twin Tiger
Hi
I wanted to be able to swing big props and clear the fuse by at least an inch. Should I bring the nacelles close in use a shorter diameter prop with a steeper pitch?

Billy,,
You mean like this:
http://www.********.net/gallery/disp...lbum=19&pos=76
Goldberg Tiger 60 ... As far as I know, SIG doesn't do them ...
But as Lanier now owns the Tiger line from Goldberg, sooooo ,,
I guess a Lanier Tiger would be possible.

Vince:
1/2" is plenty of clearance for the props, and yes, you need to allow for the biggest props you plan to run. But your plane looks like you allowed for 14" (or bigger) props.
There's no hard and fast rule about going from two to three plades, the old "Standard" says go down an inch either in diameter or pitch, but I've found just as often keeping the same diameter and pitch works fine. My C-3/10 got its first runs with two bladed 10x6 MAS, and it now has three bladed 10x6 Zinger props. The different brand make the difference? I don't think it would make that much, the Magnum 46 engines seem to be quite happy with the Zinger 3b props mounted.

Slumming? I didn't think you came here anymore!
