Default first flight, first twin

Finally the weather/wind cooperated and I was able to put the maiden voyage into history. The bashed SR falcon twin flew just like the single engine kit. My plane came in at 7lbs a little heavier then what I was wanting, but not bad 19 to 20 oz. per sq. ft. I am a little nose heavy and the front strut seems like it is going to cause problems. Added a click of right trim and a lot of up. When I balance further rearward I hope it will need less trim. "Wow" that sound of the twins had everyone "wowing" What a blast, had an engine out on the third flight, flamed out after I was trying some snaps. Just to start both engines and run them up had my adrenaline pumping. All in all it was a successful flight , and I am looking forward to many more.

Sharp looking aircraft! Congrats on the successful maiden.

Check your nosewheel. Looks like that cigarette butt may have melted it a tad...lol (j/k)

Congratulations! And welcome to twindom (you can check out, but you can never leave). Next thing you know, you'll be doing something really stupid, like paying $500 for P-38 landing gear.

Really nice trim job.

I concur completely with your presumptions about COG. Move it back to at least mid range for that design, and it'll be easier on your nose gear, and a little more nimble in the air. Usually, just moving the battery back on a sport twin is enough.

If the fuse former is strong enough, changing the nose gear out to a "Dave Fults" double strut will eliminate most of the headache of a floppy front end.

Congrats!! A most distinctive color scheme and a beautiful looking plane. From what you said she fly as good as she looks. Today was also my first twin-engined flight, an a Twinstar. Got the engines set at the flying field, in between assisting three other flyers and a couple of flights on my Funtana to calme my nerves. Wasn't able to a flight in at the field and tomorrow is a 'no fly day reserved for motocross race (we share the area) However, we are experiencing the most gorgeous weather since last fall and I just had to get in a flight. So, with themy son's help I flew out of a pasture near my home. A great feeling to have joined the ranks of multi-engine pilots!

thanks for the comments. Honestly if it was'nt for my Wife my planes would look like crap. She is into symmetry and colors that don't clash
On this plane I had to remove the covering and change colors and design. good thing I did now I wont get any laughs
