RE: Super Duellist 2/60 Build
Ron,
I had told John that as well, but he wasn't sure if he could get the kits in a lot of 100 to come down that far with the glass fuse and nacelles in an ARF. But he needs our input on who all would be interested, what they would like to see, what kind of kit (ARC,ARF or short kit with glass fuse/plans/templates)
Go onto his website, and click the contact us button, and shoot him the info your looking for, prices your willing to go etc.
I did enquire about the option of twin G-20's, but he said he thought you'd have to add weight. But with CJM retracts, and 4 strokes, he thinks you'll clear 17-18" props if I remember correctly. I'll have to look at my emails again.
I really want to see this get off the ground again. So thats why Im on the perverbial soap box, as he can't do it on here with out getting scolded. So this is my grassroots campaign to all of you out there.
Thanks again,
Bryan

RE: Super Duellist 2/60 Build
I'm in the final prep stages of my 40 size, but I'm sure you can help me. My instructions show the balance to be about 40% root chord, which would put it well back of center of lift on the rest of the wing considering the T.E. forward sweep. I'm a bit leery of this and would like to know from someone who's flown succesfully just what percentage they're using.
Because of the different size, a percentage at the root would be helpful. TIA, Tex.

Blade47: I built the duellist some years ago and recently enlarged the plans to 90". Plan on using (2) OS91 Surpasses and robart retracts. What engines are you using.
Thanks

RE: Super Duellist 2/60 Build
A little late in the summer but I finally got two flight's in with my 2/60 ... I had re-worked and updated the software on the Twin Sync this winter and wanted to test fly the unit.
The Twin fired up and was checked over for the flight ....all went well and like I had Left it last winter no trim was needed what a blast to hear the two engines sound like one.
The second flight was 9 minutes long with high speed runs, loops, rolls, and rudder flat turns ... I could hear on this flight that the engines would take a bit longer to sync at low to half throttle so I have now moved the timing up two adjustments on the sync unit and will try it again next weekend.
Has anyone else had there twin up this year?

I know that there is at least 48 other kits out there and I know Don H has one yet to be build but come on guys ..get them in the air ...or offer them for sale so some one else can enjoy building then flying.

Not quite to the Super Duelist 2/60 Build aspect of this thread, but I have some bad news for all of us twin enthusiasts:
Northeast Aerodynamics, Inc. threw in the towel on December 1st. http://www.ne-aero.com

RE: Super Duellist 2/60 Build
Hey there... Hows it going? I two just picked up a Duellist on RCU, It came from Columbia, It is a laser cut edition. Still looking for a Good Builder. Anyone know of a Good Builder out there? I also Bought a Second Duellist, also found it on RCU, Guy selling it has it 80% finished and looks great in the pictures (high def Pictures) He was only selling it for 270, but I offered 340 mainly because of all the time and effort he had put into it. He deserves to get a little back for all his effort. Besides It a great Airplane. Very fast with two YS 45s. Used to have one awile back until a friend crashed it for me. I may be selling the duellist still in the Box. Not sure yet. If anyone is interested in it, just leave me a message.
