Multiplex Twinstar 2 - Battery ??
Hay Guys,
Need some help here. Just bought a slightly used Twinstar 2, with standard 400 Brushed motors in it. I need to know what battery would u guys suggest (it was the 1 thing he didn't include in the deal )).
Here is what I currently have in my arsonal:
1 - 9 cell 1000mAh 10.8v Ni-MH
1 - 8 cell 1800mAh 9.6v Ni-MH
1 - 2s 1200mAH 7.4v lipo
1 - 3s 3200mAH 11.1v lipo
ECU is either going to be a GP 30 AMP or a Castle __ AMP. (not sure, hope i dont need to buy 1 yet).
Cheers.

If you have to buy a battery and ecu, you may as well scap the brushed motors and go brushless at the same time... I flew a brushless one ,and it was a great plane...surprisingly aerobatic, and would even thermal with the motors shut down....

Hay Wayne,
Yes, I have heard this plane flies amazing speed's when brushless. But for now, until the $$ roll in, I will use the stock 2x400 Brushed. I have from my Great Planes Lancair ES EP a 30 AMP esc I would like to use.

I had one of the early TwinStar's. My battery choice would be the eight cell and the 2cell. The three cell could possibly fry your motors. The nine cell is low on MAH. I generally used 8 cell packs of 1300 or 2300. Loved that plane. Am really tempted to try the 2nd generation with brushless.
