I set it w/ near factory setting.. but added extra o-rings for some extra up and down travel.. the key is that it is sort of eccentric so the setting on the arm affects the tension on the track.. you want to make sure the tracks are tight (but not TOO tight, LOL!)
I have seen people run springs in place of the o-rings and that allows for even more travel.. although I haven't found that necessary yet.. but then, I drive it around at 5-6mph.. LOL!

I haven't have to mess with my track adjustment, or the rear swing arm. But I have mostly dry powdery snow, not stuff that packs up.

Ok thx guys, must have just been a fluke ,I put the track back on and ran in the same terrain for 20 minutes and no probs. You know you're hooked when you are outside wearing a ski mask and carharts when it's 15 below wind chill and whiteout conditions with 25 to 35 mile per hour winds running a Blizzard (roflol) Doug.

Well, I tried for pics. As you can see, I cant drive and do well with the cam. Half of the shots were empty views of white .. lol. Snow is really bad ( warm out ). It is really keeping moisture out of the radio area well with the stripping on it and the radio box is dry as a bone. [sm=thumbup.gif]

Looks great! I need to do the weatherstripping around the chassis myself! Although there have been no snow here at CT for awhile... I thought northeast is supposed to be cold w/ snow.. ha!

So we got like 3" of snow tonight.. so I charged up a pack and went out for a ride in the Blizzard!
Played w/ Photoshop a little bit and the pics look pretty good even though they were taken at midnight!

Post bash pics!
There are actually more snow up front then on the back! Interesting...
I am sure that's due to I am only running the silvercan.. so not as much snow kicking up on the back?? Who knows.. but either way, I will get the weatherstrip and seal it a little bit!

I just came up with an idea for things to do with the Blizzard. I figured out that with some careful steering you can write stuff in the snow.

Yes, I was doing that on the fresh snow last night.. although I wasn't really writing, but rather making drawing, I guess.. I was doing decreasing radius circles.. pretty fun, ha!!

Took it out for a spin. Snow is close to gone and the texture of half frozen hail. I did about 5 runs at 5 to 6 min each and the 4200 nimh was still going good ( nice !! ). This is with the sidewinder/4600, stock spur and 27 pinion. Added a rear foam snow guard and everything is staying very dry. When I got done, the cat was easily twice the weight from ice build up. I'd say the 4600 is about rite for greatly improved performance over stock, but not insane, combined with very good run times. BUT, I'll always wonder if I shoulda gotten the 5700 for the same price ... lol

ANTI BREAK-DOWN TIP: I don't know if you guys beat your Blizzard as hard as I do. I was jumping off an 18" berm onto concrete and my drive sprocket snapped right off! In the front axle there are long set screws and the weight is carried on the hollow allen head hole and mine snapped off right where the hole ends at the solid part. One way to prevet this is to remove the screws and reverse them putting the allen hole in towards the aluminum axle maybe with some thread locker. Just thought I'd save a possible head-ache. Keep on trackin......LOL

Oh, I stopped when the mod moved it to the tank forum and deleted 2/3 of the posts.. (cause you know my style, a lot of chit chat, ha!)
It is in the closet somewhere.. I was waiting for the paint to show up.. and just didn't pick that back up...
Got everything, though... bearing, gun stabilizer (gyro), IR battle system, etc. (and yes, the paint.. ha!)
