RE: video
I think a plug and play system is the best way to go. I am playing with the Electrifly VPP setup from Great planes for a review. I almost have it dialed in and then it is maiden time

It's kicking my rear so far . The install is easy breezy, the programming to fine tune it is another story. I am learning more about my radio than I have ever wanted to know

EUREKA! I just figured it out. Not as hard as I was making it out to be. I will post graphs of my JR programming once I get it field tested. Amps are at 13 full up and full down and 1.5 in the center while in flight mode 1. In Normal Flight Mode Amps peak at 11.5 and 116 watts. It ought to be interesting

RE: video
i know that the prop on these planes is servo controlled, but how is it controlled on the transmitter. How do the sticks move to make this happen? is it flipping a switch to make it go backward? I dont think so.....because its not just 1 speed. Can someone please explain this to me? Im so confused on how this works I dont even know if I asked a question that makes sence......[:-]

Wild,
It acts just like a helicopter. You set it up in two modes. The first mode is Normal flight. In your radio, you mix in a certain pitch (say 30%) to stay constant. As you advance the throttle stick, it speeds up the motor just like a non VPP setup. No difference.
The second flight mode (Flight mode 2) is mixed with the throttle within the computer radio. This is activated by a switch. In flight mode 2- At mid throttle, the pitch is neutral and doesnt push air in either direction. As you advance the throttle up, the mix makes the servo add positive pitch. As you advance the down, the software mix makes the servo add negative pitch.
If you use governer mode in the ESC, the motor constantly spins at a set RPM while in Flight Mode 2. If the governer mode is not used, the motor speeds up and down depending on where the throttle stick is -100% -> off <- +100%.
Did I confuse you more? [sm=spinnyeyes.gif]

not at all, now I understand. I thought about that.... with the stick in the middle as neutral instead of half throttle..... thanks for clearing that up.
