Default Losi 1/18 desert buggy brushless upgrade

Just picked up a Losi 1/18 scale green desert buggy

Putting a 25A EZ-Run combo with a 12t 7800kv motor

Will post updates when I have the ESC and motor installed.

Cool! I would like to see the results, because I have a Mini Desert Buggy sitting here doing nothing.

Installed the motor, ESC and metal pinion.
Ran it around the house and runs fine. Looking forward to running it outside.

Finally got this out and ran it. FUN / FUN / FUN!!!!

Using 2S 1550mah 12c Lipo's (got cheap under $10 on ebay a few years ago) - I got 25'ish min run time with non-stop wheelies before i saw any degradation in power. This thing is a blast. I might upgrade to 1/10 scale touring tires to hit the taller grass better.

I have loads of hop-ups that I will install eventually. One of them being an aluminum solid axle diff. Not that I need it and it will hurt turning radius but will make more wheelies, not that I need it because it does wheelies enough as is. The 7800kv motor is over kill for something this small.

Thanks -

The e-zrun has lots of power and runs smoother than I expected.

Most places average is $149+ Tax for the desert buggy RTR. Comes with a Spektrum radio and RX.
Seen some on Ebay for $30 free shipping.

Nice part these come with bearings and oil filled shocks unlike the Mini-T. Have to say even though I don't have my Mini-T anymore, it was my favorite. Right now this is the next best thing. IMHO
