Besides the Mini-z is only $25 dollars more expensive and it is higher quality. You get what you pay for.

Yeah but still ashamans, when you make the antenna longer you might get longer range, but it will look like crap.

Ashamans, everyone hates us xmodders here, lol. Ill stick with my Xmod and then I will be with my high quality RC Plane products. I dont have much money so the xmod is the perfect answer for me.

yeah everyone hates us xmodders but I still like mine

Oh and here's another nice feature on xmods that no one talks about-the changable body kits. for 12.99 you have 3 different side skirts and bumpers and 2/3 different airfoils and 2 hoods. heres a pic with the parts and the body.

I don't know any Mini-Z guys that really hate Xmoders--though I noticed a few close quarrels when an Xmod owner brought an Xmod onto an RCP track with several Mini-Zs and tried to play demolition derby instead of drive the track. I guess he didn't care if he smashed his $50.00 car into someone else's car as long as he could take out someone's "t-plate" or crush their body. Some thought he was "tweeking" anyway, so it's not like "we" hold it against all Xmod owners or at least I don't.

As a matter of fact, I know of several Mini-Z owners who purchased Xmods just to try them out and I know of several who started with Xmods before switching to Mini-Zs. However, I have also read some pretty nasty and vulgar comments on some of the Xmod threads against Mini-Zrs on the "tiny RC" car forums. Quite frankly, it reminds me of some of the T-Maxx v. Savage or Savage v. "The Universe" comments I used to read on this website prior to the subforms. Simply put, I'd rather not associate with those types of people.

And since the Shack is now selling RCP tracks, the Shack may improve the Xmod or more Xmod owners may just switch to Mini-Zs as more and more RCP tracks become public. Time will tell.

Yeah Im not totally trying to degrade the Xmods, its just that with people like me who only do micro rc, prefer to have the best of the best.

Overland,
its posts like that that start problems between xmod owners and miniz owners. when you tell
someone thier rc car is "toy class"and yours is "hobby quality", its going to start a fight. So whats the piont in telling people that?

Benthehen(his xmod still goin' strong)

Simply put, everyone should have a right to make their own choice. I know I made mine although I own more Mini-Z's than the following pictures show. Soon I should own a Shelby Cobra too. The MMT has a few more mods than the last time I uploaded a photo. Still no Xmods.

I do know that certain statements will start a fight, but why would X-mod owners care so much what I think? Why would they get so angry? All that really matters is your own opinion, and I have stated mine and people can think what they want.

Ashamans, I grow tired of having to come back to this thread only to see you trying to defend your Xmod(s). Why don't you just understand that most people here prefer Mini-Zs over X-mods.

After reading all this I've decided to get an MR-02.
Although the XMods look really really nice, and seem like good fun to mod/rice, I think I'll get more long term value from a Z.

It's a shame that lots of these threads end up getting stupid.

It's all just silly little cars running around on silly little tracks

the only meaning of that post is if you call a xmod a toy...you HAVE to call a mini-z a toy too b/c they are the same(well...really close) 1/28 kit cars

i perfer xmods over mini-z and will always think them better, buts that my opion and i expressed that above....

Kerosene-AU, its sad that you decided against the xmods but thats fine(with care you can get the same value), have some fun with your mini-z as rc cars is a great hobby and i am very glad rs came out with these cars as i would never got in this hobby with a mini-z b/c i have never heard of them before xmods

and no, i have never driven(or seen in real life) a mini-z and would like to to ge that final impression on it that i have only got it from other people....if you wanna send me one, i'll do a reveiw...lol

btw, has anybody tried fitting a bigger motor in a mini?

Well Ashamans, that explains it. I never would have thought how well built, high performance, and well enginered Mini-Zs were until I drove one. If you ever do you may end up changing your mind...

Thank you for solving this in a civilized and "non-flaming" manner as many others would, Ashamans. You're cooler than I thought.
