Do those come in 3S packs? Do they even make 3S packs that will fit?

My favorite packs for the mini's. Have about 10 of them.

That will fit, barely, it will take up the entire battery area, just measured mine. Good choice.

Question. What exactly is cogging? I just bought a couple motors and now my cars seem to start off slow and then its like it just rockets off. Im not sure whats up but when my 4200kv was in it I didnt have the problem. By the way I have a sidewinder and the new motor is a 6200kv if its neccesary.

Cogging is when the batteries can't supply the amp draw from the motor, so it kinda gudders when you pull the trigger on start up.
This sounds like whats happening to you. If you have the castle link, you can have a play with the setting to try to get rid of it.
The 6200 will draw more amps on start up (with same gearing), than the 4200. So will cog more.
Hope this helps

Hey for 25 bucks you can't go wrong. Try it out and be the one to let us know how it works. It sounds good. It even gives you the option to USB program by the sounds of it and he sells that seperatley but will offer free shipping on it if bought together. Might be worth checking out. If I didn't have so many mamba's and sidewinders already I would do it just to report back but......

decided to invest that money into a brushless instead... looking at the Mamba or the Sidewinder 6800kv, the price is about $10 difference... any suggestions?

Can anyone educate me on what "KV" stands for and how it is applied to motors?

Kv is how many times the motor will turn for every volt put through it. (in rpm)

So if you have a 6800 mamba motor and use a 7.4 volt battery, the motor will turn at 6800 x 7.4 = 50320rpm
So basically the higher the kv the higher the top speed of the car but the less torque on start up.

On the micro-pro or the sidewinder, the only difference between them is that the micro-pro has a plastic case and a heat sink (helping keep it cooler). Motors are the same.

Hope this helps

Thanks for the info. The KV explanation made sense... I am in a warm/hot climate how important is it to have the heat sink? Do you know if it has a safety shut off if it gets too hot?

I can't help you there. Its hard to say just how much it will help.

If its only $10 more, it may be worth getting the micro-pro.

The spur is a 60T and the pinion was 14T on my baja.

Bearings, http://www.fullforcerc.com/mini-t.htm

i use this company for all of my bearing needs. If i have a RC he does not offer a kit for, he will make it if he stocks the size i need. i think only one RC that he did not have one bearing for and it was an odd ball metric size....

My stock pinion is 17t not sure what the spur is, it is the standard losi double slipper. I marked on tooth on my pinion and counted...

As for bearings, I can not help you, maybe ebay??

Some pictures of my new Sidewinder. I got the polarity mixed up and I haven't been able to test it out yet.

Good luck, I smoked mine today out of the blue, not even a month old. It still turns on and makes the startup/arming tones, but one of the chips heats up enough to melt the shrink tube almost immediately.

Warranty service tomorrow I guess.

I may buy an EZRun to test and run until I get this one back.

Can you ask them to tell you why it may have done that?
