I have read that tekin motors and mamba motors (b/l) are much the same.. Its the esc that makes the difference! So yeah, you mamba should be fine w/ the tekin motor..

The 380 would be insane! And it SHOULD fit, I was just looking at my mini-t imagining another 4mm all the way around, and I THINK it will work....

Let us know how u get on

you would lose alot of runtime though
why would the runtime be lost?

my vendetta has a 380 motor (stock but now have a brushless 380)
and i get regular runtimes as a mini-t and rc18 on a 370

I think rcmaster meant that running a b/l 380, as opposed to a b/l 280 (mamba etc..) would use a lot more power, therefore shorten runtimes.. But hell, go hard or go home!

well im pretty sure that there will not be a significant difference between a 380 and 280 in consumption of power
also considering that my 380 motor is a 3900kv and mambas range from 4600-8000

i mean i get 30minute runtimes with my vendetta st
which is maybe 2 times the weight of a mini-t stock
just running 6cell nimh but i still get speeds of around 30mph

oh well
i probably just stick with the stock motor
than maybe a mamba 4600 or 5700 (do they make a 5700)

Carpet ..... You can use the mamba with the tekins and use your vendetta motor in the mini t i have both and i switch the motors and esc all the time as well as the battery packs. Tekin 8000kv and a 3900kv Hyperion the Tekin screams in the mini t and in the vendetta just with a little cog and the hyperion is just sooo much power it makes it fun.

so you CAN run a 28mm can motor in the mini-t correct
such as my greatplanes 28-35 3900kv ammo motor?
it has a 3.2mm shaft that takes standard 1/10th pinions
what pinions fit the mini-t?

ya i can imagine that the ammo motor
will be an overkill on the mini-t's tranny
since it has SO much power

I couldnt agree more.. I run the tekin 5.5kv system, I swap it between the Mini-t, Mrs4, and the RC18T, and in all of them, it PLENTY fast enough.. I barely even use my 3s lipo.. However, I do have the mamba comp X 8000kv package on the way, just to see what all the fuss is about

Hi, I don't know what those wheels are but RMP make nice nylon wheels in Chrome, black and white. I prefer the black or white (which you can dye) as the chrome is prone to chipping - apparently.

Couldnt be more true!

Iv only put one pack through my RC18T, on my new premounted Losi smashers, and the chrome is already chipping off.. Not cool!

.....Unless your a carpet racer.....

Hi,

Just wondering what CVDs you are using? I carefully made a set of MIP, but they left drive side keep popping out of the outdrive from the ball diff - which is a real pain, so I'm back to using the dog bones it came with. Any CVDs out there with the same length as the OEM dog bones to prevent this happening?

Thanks in advance.

Neil

I dont run a dual slipper with my tekin b/l.. And we all know tekin is far more powerful than mamba... Lol watch the debate start over that one...!!

I use the stock slipper!

would u reccomend upgrading to it, if I have a hard impact(crash) with my stock slipper would it damage my mamba motor at all or would the dual prevent damage to the motor from impacts
