I'd say not very, around 5-7mph because u can only fit 4AAA cells into it and radio shack makes the motors, come'on now, have some common sense, its radio shack...i'd say u just bought yourself a desk top display.

What you can do is get rechargeable batteries, and install a 6-cell mod. You can fit 5 cells in any body, and 6 in some, not sure which... Then you can either buy a very pricey ($60) motor that a guy at www.xmodsworld.com . That supposedly goes 20mph+ or more, I can't say for sure, but thats what I've heard. You can buy a the stage 2 motor upgrade, and do a spinbrush motor upgrade on the topspeed motor. That way you get super low-end torque and the best top speed. Hope that helps.

bribri543 r u serious? its true that u can fit a 5 or 6 cell in there but all you're going to do is burn up the motor. remember, the x-mod doesnt have a esc, just a chip with a resistor to limit the voltage.

all i have right now is a stage 2 motor with magnets out of the spin brush motor running off 4 AAA's and it goes a lot F-ing faster than 5mph
just wait til i get my lithium battery upgrade from www.atomicmods.com

get lithim ion bats in a 6 cell ubgrade with a redline racing moter, turbo fet chip but dont go with the rs upgrades b/c u can go faster than that ebay has everything i just sed

i have an xmod and i have 7 cells in it and yes it will work. im also ordering a miniz turbo for my xmod. curenntly i have a mnl stage 10 motor in mine and mine goes well above 17mph. these things are pretey fast if properly tuned

heres my 6 cell
i taped it to the roof for easy removal when i want to go back to 5/4/or 7 cell
u could glue it if u think u will never take it off
