RE: mini t jumps and grass
Here's the thing:
You won't go a damn place without getting a few things...
Grass:
New Motor, Bigger Tires, Batterpack, either 5/6 cell will work
Jumps:
Oil Filled Shocks, Battpack, 5/6 cell will work.
I tried going through the grass at my house with the stock motor and it bogged down really bad, if you don't get the batt pack, you're not going anywhere.
If you are jumping it, I would plan on getting the oil filled shocks, only because the dampers are kinda cheap and they bottom out even only going off a driveway...

RE: mini t jumps and grass
and for grass tires, I would suggest the TRC Monster Tires and down the Pinion by 2-3 teeth for more torque. Since your acceleration would drop cuz the tire size. I will look around for some other tires and such. Parts I would reccomend. For motors, I would go with the Trinity Wild Motor if you are on a low budget and if not, the Orion Baja, then go burshless

RE: mini t jumps and grass
wasn't designed for grass driving and if you have a lazy neighbor forget about his grass prolly foot high lol nothing will get through it.. i dont like grass driving because its slow. but if your just looking for a landing pad then thats fine just try a lower cut grass for it..
i have no problem getting out of lower cut grass with my stock tires.

Here's one w/o the shocks, I threw the old ones in to test my new motor. If you check out my Mini-T Then and Now thread, it has a ton of pics in there

That is why I love the UK - grass is like a putting green. Some gardens, i can drive my TC3 or Colt10 on them. Not mine, I have a gardner and he leaves it a bit taller. But the MiniT will be fine on my garden any day.
Cant wait til it gets here next week (I hope).

I put AL shocks and upgrade springs on mine. Handles the jumps well. (for a short travel susupention, not like my Tmaxx) grass is a no-go. I can run in the back yard but that was AFTER i put the mower on the lowest setting, and even then its slow.
I stick to the pavement and dirt.

RE: mini t jumps and grass
I run it on grass, but my grass is really high... even with stock tires. The thing is though, I have the Baja, which has a lot of torque so it just pounds through it. I dunno about the Mamaba's I've never driven a micro or min-t with one in it, so I dunno what it's like, other then fast (from irish's vids [8D], nice btw). I'll try to get a vid or something of my mini-t, when I can figure out how to transfer from Hi8 to DVD

RE: mini t jumps and grass
Mini Ts love grass IMO
Mine is all alloy and when this pic was taken (sorry but not very good quality) was still on stock motor and electrics.........runing a 6cell Losi 1100mah battery. The jump was about 16" high and made of a 3ft square alloy sheet and a bucket.

I did my jumping out on the street. I setup a bike ramp in the street. Now hoping the wife gives me enough time to dump the video to my PC so I can upload the vids.
