vendetta mods
I just bought a new Vendetta and was interested to know of anyones ideas or lessons learned from modifications. Just wondering what works and doesnt. Specifically motor, battery and ESC combos, and wheel tire combos. I want to put a set of road tires on it for playing on pavement but m LHS does not have rims to fit it. Do they require an adapter? What about alternate bodies? Thanks in advance to whomever replies.

RE: vendetta mods
You can use any 12mm standard touring car hex wheels. So that leaves you a huge amount of tire options.
The stock ESC and motor are amazingly quick, the problem is the stock useless Battery pack. Replace it with a GP1100 or IB1200 pack in stick formation and you will notice a far better speed and runtime.

RE: vendetta mods
Thanks for the reply. would changing the gearing (pinion/spur) have any effect on performance? If so, what combination would you recommend. I have been looking at the LRP motor as well as some others. I thought of upgrading the wires and connectors also. I have heard some mixed reviews on the stock shocks. Apparently some people have had trouble with them leaking. Any thoughts?

RE: vendetta mods
You have to use a 380 size motor, not a 180 or 370 from like an RC18T, they lack the torque needed. So most of the Aftermarket motors won't work.

RE: vendetta mods
The stock 380 motor has plenty of kick
All you need to do is take out that 600mah bat pack and throw it in the trash then throw a pack of Matched 1100 cells in it.
I did this and i couldn't believe the power it had.
I also threw in a Novak XRS ESC which is also a sport reversible speed control
but it has much better braking then the stock one
Tower Hobbies has a ton of stuff for the Vendetta.
