Range
Today i went to go drive my xmod at the tennis court and a couple minutes later the range went out from real close. I came home tried a new battery in my controller and it still wouldn't move anywhere from like ten feet. Anyone know what the problem would be? and how i can fix it? thanx...

RE: Range
No i think its in there, i even tried new batteries and all that. O and im thinking about getting a Mini-LST or an X-cellerator, but the x-cell is kinda out of my price range. And i also want something easy for my first hobby grade. But i still wanna fix this xmod problem.

Like I said to BAMF, you can get electric, its better for a beginner, but if you want a challenge and sumthin thats gonna attract a little more attention, I would say the X-CEll. I see posts all over this site about how the X-Cell is a "good truck". To me seeing that good of feedback from the customer makes for a great purchase. Just my $0.02, like it or leave it.

Ehhh..... It's a secret for now,it will be out soon, every mini lst owner will love it, it's so simple! Anyways one of the problems with the X-C is it's alot harder to find parts.

Hey CK your mlst idea sounds interesting, but stop teasing us with these little posts and hurry up and get some pics! You're killing me with anticipation. OH btw, good luck on it. hope it turns out good. Just hurry up. I wanna see it!
ok, back to the topic at hand.... regarding your x-mod; can you change out the receiver and tx? I've never owned one, so I don't know if that's interchangeable. If it is, change it out to a better rx/tx combo; that should solve your range problem.
Also, for an alternative to the xmod, I would suggest a 1/24 rc like a kyosho mini-z monster or something small. I think 1/18ths are still to big for house bashing. especially if you plan on making it fast. but thats my opinion. Just keep it reasonably slow enough not to do serious damage to the car or household items
