Mini Inferno Brushless Motor Recommendations
I have a Mini Inferno that I put a Mamba brushless setup in with the 8000 motor. I have since been told that the 8000 motor is too small for the MI. I guess thats why the motor gets so hot so quick. What brushless motor would be a good fit for the MI? I would like to keep the Mamba ESC if possible.

RE: Mini Inferno Brushless Motor Recommendations
I just pulled my 6800 out of mine. It was screaming but a little warm...not too warm but too fast for the little tracks. I am putting a 5400 in it now to see if it helps and dropping the pinion 2 teeth. I never put the 8000 in the inferno yet but can imagine what would happen. I would also recommend lipo's for weight reasons with the brushless. These cars are pretty heavy when compared to a mini t. Do you have a pic of your inferno?

The can size is too small, quite a few users have burned up their motors using them. I reccomend the AON, Hyperion, Warp4, or Wraith.

2 many options....which one should I use to kick some *****...[:@]
I bought a Mamba Competion X without reading this post first ....so I guess I can´t use it now, unless I get myself a mini t
People at my track are using that same engine on team associated cars and Xrays so I need to be fastter than them

well I went with the warp4 2 turn and WOW this thing performs like no other. I had to get the quark 33a esc to handle it but it was well worth it.

Somebody in a magazine used a 5400 and a 4s lipo tanic pack. They only got 15 minutes runtime and a top speed a 45mph
Btw, that was in a kmi.

The 4 cells were wired in parallel, so it was really just a 2cell. I have a unknown Mamba in mine, I think it's a 5400 thoguh, and a 3 cell lipo, it scoot's pretty nicely. About as fast as my Wraith powered MLST. As soon as I work the bug's out of the little dude from the previous owner, I expect it to be a ton of fun.

Wraith 7k is freaking crazy in a KMI. I'm currently running one with a quark 33. Its a beast. I just need to either lock my center diff or find someway to get this mip center diff tighter.
First MIP product i'm not happy with

b-p-p.com But when i checked the wraith doesnt seem to exist anymore. I guess it sorta goes into the limited production list now. Too bad, The motor was nasty. But, A hyperion would be a good match for the KMI. I'm running the 6k hyp in my MLST it has a ton of torque.

The best is surely the original Team Orion Vortex Sets, Team Orion is part of the Kyosho Group, there are two on offer
A 4200kv set
Vortex Combo MI4200 KV 25A with ESC ORI66047
and a 5300kv set:
Vortex Combo MI5300 KV 25A with ESC ORI66048
There was a 7500kv Version some time ago but I cannot find it anywhere to buy, maybe someone knows where to get it?
