Lugnuts or dirt hawgs sound like they would do really good, but I think the lugnuts would be perfect, if only they made them for minis.[&o]

If your pinion isn't staying on, get one with a grub screw. THe grub screw gets screwed in and you make sure the screw lines up with the flat spot on the shaft(if there is one) if not just slap it on there and make sure its to the length you want it, adn tighten it down with a 1.5mm hex head wrench.

RE: OFFICIAL MINI-T THREAD!!!
OK I've narrowed it down to the mamba 5400 or the cobalt 14t. BTW here are the upgrades I plan on getting no matter if I go bl or if I stay brushed: MIP Ball Diff, MIP CVD's, Titanium Turnbuckles, GPM Oil Shocks.
I need some opinions on what to get motor and esc wise. I'm really leaning towed brushed because the cobalt is a hound wound motor i don't know about the mamba motors and i can adjust the timing on the motor quick and easy i don't need to reprogram the esc or plug into my PC.

Mamba 5400. You will get longer runtimes and it will glide way easier. If you ever feel the resistance of those good brushed motors they won't roll well. With a brushless, the motor is smaller and rolls almost too good. I responded in anther thread of yours.

OK, I'm aware that the stock electronics aren't the greatest but I'd like to stick with them until they die. I'm wondering about the feasibility of running a Micro Monster Wild with a 7.4V LiPo and the stock ESC. Does that sound like death or is it OK? I'm used to going by turns with the 540 motors but am kind of lost when it comes to these little guys.

Oh yea and I would run a 6 cell if 1400 mah pack when racing and for speed and bashing 7-8 cell packs with ib 1400 cells.

Sounds too me that he could go around 35-40mph with that set-up. I would suggest a mamba 6800 tuned to the max or a mamba 8000 not tuned very much.

Well, I just hooked up my Trinity Micro Monster Wild to my stock ESC with a 7.4V LiPo and after a few minutes the motor was 250 degrees! That can't be good, right? what's the problem here? I'm using the stock gearing. Any thoughts?

All I did was swap the motors. It has the stock gearing so I wouldn't think that would be a problem. Why in the world would a $28 motor not be able to handle what the throwaway stock motor could? Does anyone have experience with the Micro Monster Wild? Should I have tried a different motor?
