Hi,
I am thinking about buying one of these. I just want to see some pics and videos. Also how does it perform with everything stock? What upgrades are good to get right away? Post anything you think would be helpful!!!!
Thanks for your comments.

It hits around 20 mph stock, the performance isn't bad at all. For upgrades I reccomend a Driven Productions drag link and gear cover. A nice IB 1400 Side x Side pack is always good, and a faster charger is reccomended if you really want some use out of it.

upgrades i found were really good were the MIP CVDs at least for the front to stop throwing dog bones on tight bumpy turns. i run the factory team setup and have upgraded to lunsford racing ball studs & turnbuckles, MIP CVDs front & rear & run a mamba comp X. i have never had a problem with the diffs and have only stripped one spur gear. and it has taken a lot of abuse. i recomend getting a spare bumper as well, on hard hits you can pop the front arm out of the bumper & tear the hole the hinge pin sits in. because these buggies are so light they can take a fair bit of abuse before they do actually break.

get what you have good parts supply for (what your local hobby shop stocks), the 4wd makes the rc18 easier to control at higher speeds, but stock out of the box they are both capable.

I have a rc18MT and a Mini Lst, I like the Rc18 better as far as a bang for the buck. It handles quite well, runs decent. The only thing is I don't like the stock super slow charger (if you don't have one), and the plastic turnbuckles are kinda a weak link.
The aforementioned mod will go a long ways with it, and it really doesn't need to be all aluminum, even though many are.
