I just want to know how do you program these two ESC. Do you use a computer, buttons on the ESC (I don't see any though)? Thanks for any info.

with the mamba you can use a computer if you buy the link ( $20 i think) or program it by listening to diferent souds and ligths and awsering the questions with your transmiter, full brake=no, full throttle= yes, it is very easy.

With the quark you have to program it by pushing a button in the side of the case and selecting different ligths with the trasmiter. ( can be very difficult sometimes)

In my opinion it is much much easier programing the mamba ( I have both) but the quark has more advanced progaming features. I personaly dont have the mamba USB link, but some people say that the mamba has more programing features if you use the link and that is waayyy easier than awsering questions. just my 2 cents.

It's hard to get the quark into program mode. I want to try a mamba and see if I notice any differences.

I use advanced programming. I don't think there is much of a difference between the 2 modes.

Outrunner is for planes. The airplanes use outrunners because of the torque they provide. The outside spins instead of the inside. If you have anymore questions about the settings, I can probably answer them.

Hmm.....I cant understand how one could possibly have trouble programming them, Ive owned both and they are both super easy.

It's hard to get the quark into program mode.
Hard? All you do is hold the program button and turn the ESC on. As for basic and advanced modes, you have to setup BOTH. You cant just setup one mode and ignore the other. If thats what your doing I can see why your having problems.

I reset the advanced programing, not the basic. So if the basic is set for lipos, I better change it.
