Default need new motor for my xray m18..which 1?

I am running a HPI 45T engine in my xray m18. The track i run at is pretty much run what you brung. Basically the mambas are killing me. The advantage is the track is real tight so top speed never kills me. I manage 2 lose by 1-2 laps. I have done all the spur/pinion setup but its not enought.

What i am asking is what engine is better then the one i am using??
Thanks for the help..

How much can you afford? Whats your budget? How many cells are you running now and what are you allowed?

(You want to say motor BTW. Engine references gas)

I am running 6 cells. I am allowed what ever i want to use. I am using the novak spy ecs which can only take 7 cells. I would like to stay at 6 and be safe.
lol, sorry about the engine, i am a nitro guy. lol
As for the budget something that not gonna make me consider a mamba.

So I assume something that works with the spy and yet isnt as expensive as a mamba. Team Scream is having a sale on their Micro motors this next week only. Comes out a little over $30 shipped. I would go with the 19 turn (MICRO 19 turn) since its a smaller track.

For reference they are the same motors as the Colbolt that Trinity sells for $45. I refer to them because it is a smoking deal. Im almost tempted for my Pro build.

But if your really on a budget. Any larger class motor would give you more power. Even a cheap Graupner Speed 300 6V. The main thing is though you will want to run the 42 tooth spur with these and have the aluminum motor mount which has the attachment holes to work with these larger motors.

Thanks for all the info.

I have one more question for you. Sorry but i am new to the electric motors. Is a motor with more turns better for high speed tracks?

A motor with more turns is more torquey. A motor with less turns has more top end.
