suggest a mini for me
Well i have some cash burning a hole in my pocket from christmas so i was thinking of buying a mini, i am thinking either a ST or just a truck, i currently have a nitro evader and am just looking to add another vehicle to the fleet, so lead me in the right direction, i am up for building i guess, but RTR works as well to,

You can get mini-t's on ebay that are all hopped up for cheap now. They are IMO the fastest and toughtest out there so far. Losi did a great job withthem and they support them also. Just one of many trucks to consider.

IDK about the team losi Mini T but i do know about the RC18t because i have one and i race it at the local track and i race with all the mini's and not to be bi'st or anything but the RC18T is easier to get used to and it out handles all the rest plus its the cheapest

yeah I dont think you will find a mini cheaper than a mini t, you can also get the pro vertion if you want to use your own electronics, or go with the baja that it is basically a hopped up mini t with oil shocks separate electronics a battery pack narrower front tires and 2 sets of rear tires, you also get that nice bug shell.

yes thats why the mini baja is better if you are planning to go brushless, unlike with the mini t you will not need a new receiver and servo.

If you want a high quality ST build the Xray M18T. But what would really help us is inquiring how you intend to use it?
Off topic:
*BTW Racing T: Why get a Mini Baja if your going to replace the electronics anyways? Why not get the Mini T Pro since its cheaper and has more hop ups. Just buy the narrow front wheels separate. I dont understand why people are going on so much about it when the Pro already had people covered for a better MiniT platform. The Baja is just a newer RTR for someone getting in. Its not a evolution of the MiniT platform by any means.

1st of all how much money do you want to spend? then are you looking for a speed demon or a good all around basher/weekend racer.
If you want speed then get a nitro micro like the Rascal.
If you want a fun basher that doubles as a racer then RC18T/B/MT.
If you want to biuld then the RC18 series offers team kits and you can just get another reciever for your radio you have.
The Mini-t is OK but I found them to be fragile and got rid of mine and got a RC18B later. I've not had to fix anything yet.
1st though whats your funding available?

Not really, not all the electronics just the esc and motor, so he wont have to buy another receiver, servo and battery pack.
Also he said that in the future he will get a brushless system not as soon as he gets the truck.
And in this case the pro is not cheaper, because for what it looks like he will keep it stock for a while so If he gets the pro, he will have to get: esc, receiver, battery pack, servo and radio ( unless he use the same from his evader). So do the numbers, its is cheaper for him that is just getting into minis to buy a mini baja for $150 that comes RTR use it for a while and then drop in a brushless system just replacing his stock esc and motor. With the pro he would have to get ALL from the begining, and I dont remember saying anything about it as a evolution of the mini t, I was just saying that IMO its cheaper and easier to get a baja.

RE: suggest a mini for me
this is true, i am going to keep it stock for a few months to get used to the car before i go wild with the brushelss,
The fundage for this project is sitting around $150.00 ATM
I am looking for a basher / racer type of vehicle
I really dont want to go nitro, i love my nitro evader but i want something that i can play around with that will not piss my neighbors off to bad with , i think they get sick of hearing the evader screaming up and down the road.
so basically what is the best mini i can get for $150.00

RE: suggest a mini for me
Well thanks for all your input guys, i went with the mini T, good lord these things are sensative, took it out to the drive way first turn i fliped it , its a little more sensative than my nitro evader, i can only imagin what this thing is going to be like when i put my brushless into it, guess i should practice with it stock for a bit first tho , only thing i wish it came with the original mini tires, i dont like the thin fron tires
