Couple of more questions please
I am new to this so I hear some terms I don't understand, but I know I will need to know what they mean eventually. I have a RC18MT and am researching some hop ups.
1. I hear you guys talking about lipo packs and I have researched what they are, but the Cells confuses me. How does the number of cells affect things? what exactly does it mean to have 8 cells vs. 6 cells and so on?
2. I hear about cogging with brushless motors, what is that? Is it something that happens from abuse, or certain types of motors more prone to it?
3. I know Shimming the diffs is important, but if I am stripping gears out on a diff with a factory motor, won't a powerful brushless motor blow it all to shreds? How can I prevent this?
thanks in advance

1. THe cells on lipo packs are 3.7v each, where as the normal nimh and nicd bats are 1.2v each. THey use less cells because just 2 of them is more volts then 6 nimh/nicd cells. The only difference between 6 cells and 8 cells, is runtime, performance, and weight.
2. Cogging is when it doesn't accelerate very smoothly, it's kinda like it skips some. But if you mess with the settings it should run fine. It's normal to have it, except on the Quark.
3. Nope, the shimming moves the diffs closer together so they mesh perfectly. All I did for a brushless was, cvd's (or constant velocity drives), and tightened the diffs just a bit. If you shim the diffs, it won't strip them until you run a 2s or 3s lipo.

RE: Couple of more questions please
THey are a lot stronger, don't use springs, and are impossible to lose because they are connected to the axle which is connected to the wheel.
