Alrigt so www.cheapbatterypacks.com finally got the IB 1400 in stock, but now im wondering shouldm i get them 'upgraded'
im really not sure...

i am getting the 6 cell stock configuration 4 bottom, 2 across the top
Also i would need feamle deans with a 16 awg wire ..right?

No, you CAN get it upgraded. The battery is a 2/3A cell.

some people say its awaste on such small cells, but i rather have the flow of power.

Yes wire size does matter!
I would use 14ga and it should be fine for the 1400. 12ga is will work just as well but may be a little unwieldy to work with. It has a higher current capacity but not necessary for your application.
I'll try to find my wire charts and post current capacities for various size wire.

Sounds good Neb- too bad they charge so much for the "upgrade" but the prices are pretty good for the batts so yeah I'd go for the upgrade.
It never hurts to have as much conductor as feasible available in this instance.
Hmmmm... I think I'll just have to order some batteries myself!!
