Vendetta ST came today! *PICS*
my Vendetta ST just came in at the LHS, just in time for the bay area minis meet,,, this thing is awesome!!!!!!!!!!! it seems bigger than most 1/18th scale trucks. i put in my spektrum system and deans plugs on it before i even ran it... and i also have a losi mini peak charger that charges in 45 minutes, much better than that stock 3 hour charger. I've got pictures!

it feels incredibly solid. i don't think the motor was running to its potential because the charger started peaking after 30 minutes the first charge...? i believe the first charge should be longer than that but whatever...

No I did the same thing I was so excited also I don't really care about the stock pack since it's 600mah and crappy. I have an Elite 1500mah in the mail now along with a digital charger. I put deans on the battery and motor first run too.

The runtime is about 5 min due to the 600mah battery a 1500mah one will more than double that. The speed it about 17 with out the timing advanced with it advanced I would guess about 23mph...

What would be a good brushless system for this? Would the transmission handle brushless power? I was thinking either a mamba 25 with the 5300, 6800, or the permax 400/4d for good 6 cell performance and possible lipo or more cells.
**By the way Mz, nice truck! Can't wait till I can get one!

From what I hear, the tranny handles brushless better than the RC18 cars (not that I don't like them). I just wish the RC18 cars had stronger transmissions because I like the features on the trucks itself.
The Vendetta ST also includes aluminum parts that come stock and uses a standard servo.

i personally love how the rc18 is designed, that doesn't mean it is a good truck(because I have never owned one, so I have no say). But I love how they use the space they have any everything is so easy to get to. To have all the parts(battery, esc, motors, gears) in that amount of space and not even have the montor hanging out the ass-end is just amazing. I am sorry to all the Mini-T series lovers but that chassis design is crap.

Thanks for the info on the rc18. Associated always seems to find ways to have their trucks easier to work on.
I was really thinking about getting the RC18B but because the area i bash is a bit rough. I was thinking about getting the mamba 25 with the 8000kv motor and do speed runs near the school i went to.
I'll probably get a vendetta st for me to play with during the winter time and then get an RC18T for my little bro so we can play together. But if I like the RC18T better, I can always trade with him. But they're probably two totally different trucks I guess.
**sorry I got off topic**

Can you post some pics? I've been wanting a mini for some time now. It would be good for indoor running during the winter time. I read somewhere that some battery packs won't fit in the vendetta st. Like the SxS packs.

if you are going to keep the stock diffs the go with the mamba escaped with gh3600 motor..
if you are going with ball diffs then run the mamba escaped with the ammo 28-35-3900 or the permax....
look for my brushless motor review

I had 2 rc 18's from associated and also loads of other 1/18 rc's my brother in law got a vendetta ST a few months ago and it's the best mini out from my experiance with lots of minis and here is why in a few simple words the Gears are seald no dirt gets caught in the gears!!!
associateds are nice and they are trucks and buggies but you can't even run them in dirt they always get dirt caught in the open gears and are worthless for in dirt you spend more time trying to get all the crap that gets caught in the gears out than having fun driving the thing!.
