Default Can someone explain "mini" or "micro" connectors to me?

I have a TT-01 1/10 scale car that I'm just about done with, but I've got my eyes on a Tamtech 1/12 Porsche. Because of the smaller chassis, I've got to look into smaller receivers, ESCs, batteries... and they all seem to have "micro" or "mini" connectors.

For example, I'm interested in this battery pack:

However, that ain't a Tamiya connector on there, so I'm not sure how to connect it to certain ESCs, like a Novak XRS. Is this what I need?

As for the Novak XRS, how would I connect that to this motor?

Or should I just standardize everything with Deans?

I standardized everything with deans on batteries and bullet plugs on motors a long time ago. It solves a lot of headaches. The bullet plugs are easier for me than deans on the motor because they are reversable, dont take up more room then wire when trying to route leads, and can be plugged straight into my power supply.

Yup, deans ultra on the battery connection, bullet plugs on the motor connection.

Okay guys, here's a straight-forward question. I want to use this motor:
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXLYA6&P=DC

and hook it up to the Novak XRS ESC, which accepts female bullets. Basicaly, I am looking for an adapter that will join this motor with a standard (non-micro) ESC. Tower has 2 such adapters that seem to fit the description, but I'm not sure which one I need:
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXAYR8&P=7
or
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXFNE6&P=7

Both say that they have "motor connectors", but the two of them seemingly have different motor leads. Which one will plug into the Duratrax motor I linked above?

Just solder the wires from the ESC directly to the motor. Then there would be no need for connectors or plugs.
