I've been using this battery and it works great. Caution if using very high power though so you don't over do it.

Here's a nice small cheap lipo charger.

Unitedhobbies has started stocking the 2S 1700mAh pack.

3s won't fit unless you modify the standoffs.

Removed the charger as it was bad.

The thunder power chager is a nice charger, it just lacks flexibilty. If you don't need extra features than it should be fine for you.

Just a little side note, with standard Li-Poly you should typically charge at 1C so for a 1500mAh battery pack that would be 1.5A. If you notice the Thunder power charger only has pre-defined charge rates and 1.5 is not one of them. You would have to charge 1500mAh Li-poly packs at 1.3A which will take a bit longer than the std. 1 hour Li-Poly charge time. I will mention that some say higher quality Li-Poly batteries can be charged at rates greater than 1C, but that is a topic for another discusssion and dependant on the battery and charger.

Now, Apogee says their Li-Mn packs can accept faster charging rates, but they don't specify how much faster. The next rate above 1.3A on the Thunder Power charger is 2.0. You might want to send PFM an email asking if the 1500mAh Li-Mn pack could be charged safely at 2A. Also, ask if charging at this rate will reduce the pack life as using a higher charge rates can reduce the number of cycles you will get out of a pack.

I use the FMA CellPro which is good up to 3A for 4S packs. They are a bit spendy, but it does charging and balancing via the packs balance tabs and has some neat features that make it pretty flexible.

If it's the charger you want, it is $25 shipped. I have one and it is like new, no box or instructions. You can download the instructions to see if it'll do what you want.

The 2dogs should work fine whether using 2S or 3S they WERE using the same dualsky cells as I have and fit just like they were made special. A 2S 1700 is a nice lightweight pack that last a long time.
