RE: rc18t rear diff getting chewed up
same problem on my RC18MT. I ended up getting alum main diff gears, and keeping the plastic bevel gears, then just shimming them really really tight. (3 or 4 shims per diff, can't remember)
solved the problem.
solved the problem.

yeah i shim both my diffs with like 3 or 4 shims and i use MIP super diffs, but i have a lot of problems keeping my spur from stripping, does anybody know a good way to set mesh, i just set it until it meshes as smoothe as possible

RE: rc18t rear diff getting chewed up
i have went to the mip super diffs because of wearing out the stock out-puts(most guys tell you to get the supper diff because the one for the mini t has every thing but the one for rc18t is just a tougher spring bolt and out puts ) but as far as the diff i to have been stripping them like crazy with a 8000kv and 11.2V i went to the 3 racing alum diff gear but now blowing out the input gear (5 minutes at most!)
one thing i am going to try to do this time is reduce your mamba's off the line "punch" setting -you will have to have the usb link i reduced mine to 40% and and i may go as low as 15% on the next gear. that will reduce your off the line from a stop to accelerating speed for a second but not much longer. another thing with the link i may try is to reduce the rpm curve.
good luck and definitly keep me posted on other ideas than shimming!!!! because i steel gears!

RE: rc18t rear diff getting chewed up
okay i put a new in put and spur gears in it and it worked better after adding a extra diff on the shorter side i am now up to 3 on that side and none on the longer side worked perfect for the 10 mins i ran
also tried to add some weight on the from ( a 23mm scocket ziptied to the front end ) and it worked great so i may ad some airplane lead weights to the front bumper/shock tower. steering under power was great!!!
