Default Ima Bad boy 9V Powa

Well, i think i got something way better than brushless lol. I took a 9v energizer battery and plopped it in my little buddy and took off. I cant give it full throttle anymore cuz itll just spin tires for as long as i hold it in. Its deffinatly faster than stock, WAY FASTER. i only did this because i have an extra motor so if i blew mine i didnt care. The suprizing thing is tho the esc/rx didnt get hot at all and i ran it for a good 5 mins strong. I dont know how long itll last yet but this may be a very good alternative battery source.

Yea i know but im not really worried about replaceing it. I have no fear of damaging my stuff because i never really keep anythign stock anyways, so if it blows or breaks thats just my excuse for buying more aftermarket stuff or making my own

Thats kinda the point lol. But yea with that little amount of weight it doesnt make a difference. Its plenty sturdy and is basically crash proof

Im not to sure yet which one fried my motor but it just went. The way i have it set up now i can run BOTH the 9V and the stock batt at the same time, so thats 13.8V's. I ran that for a couple mins and then the motor went south real fast. So im not sure yet if the 9v hurt the motor then the extra 4.8v's blew or what but im not doing that gain lol . At least not until i get the FET's in so i can stack em so itll handle the power. These are the only pics i have of just the bare chassis. Hopefully it helps.

U can use the stock one as far as i know but rite now the motor in mine is shot so i am trying to find a motor that can handle the power better. I was looking at some 180 size motors and they may fit but i have to get one in my hands to find out.

Search google for "B-P Hobbis" Look under the micro planes and then motors. They have a couple of 180 size motors let me know what you find!

I was just going to go to my lhs and get an extra stock motor mount and just bore it out for the 180 motor. its to late to call hobbytown now but i will run over there sometime tomorrow and see if they have any 180's in stock. If they do they ill get one and a spare motor mount.

lol yea tell me about it. Its my camber links up front. I made them outa some REALLY thin pastic, the kinda stuff that you get headphones packaged in. They are so thin the let the front tires actually flex under its own weight. It seems pretty bad looking at it but it doesnt really affect the handling that much.
