Default Nitro Engine Carburetor question?

I am in the middle of cleaning up a Trinity .095 engine. I have found out that there are two different kinds of carburetors (I think). You can have either a Side Carburetor or a Rotary Carburetor. This is confusing me. What is the difference between the two? Or are they the same thing? It would be very helpful if anybody could clear this up for me. Thanks
