Default Getting a Candy Blue Micro Baja! What could I use and do you like the truck?

I want to get a Micro-t and I think I can convince my mom if I show her how many parts from an x-mod truck I can use. I know Wheels tires, springs, shocks. Is there anything else I could use from my x-mod?

So bubble in the poll to tell me if you like the micro-t.

I know of some people who have put x-mod springs and tires on their micro t. In my opinion buy one then look at your possibilities, go the this site www.thetoyz.com they have heaps of micro t hop-ups.

And btw, the wheels wont fit, the hole is way too big, the tires should though.

yeah, I'm just trying to argue my point to my mom that they can use other cars' parts and that they aren't junk.

Also those that said a few things could be improved please note I'd be putting bearings in, threaded shafts and get better steering linkages.

so aside from a few mods, this is a good truck? I've heard bearings and better steering linkages are a must the threaded axles are just to get away from those CENSORED e clips

I don't really care for the Micro-T. It's to small of a scale IMO (I wouldn't have fun with it). But if you don't have a problem with the small scale, (of course you don't, other wise you wouldn't be looking at it) you should get it. And since the parts are so small you shouldn't have a problem making them with a little time (like the suspension links, you could use a zip tie). Good luck.

could I use a wing or spoiler from an x-mod or mini-z? I found a cool body that reminds me of a VW Bug and the rear could use a little help.

Honestly....you dont need to upgrade or mod anything.....i havent broke one thing on my micro t....only thing ive *changed* is the pinion and i went to the bigger one for more top speed. Same shocks, tie-rod, tires, everything. But i did buy a differnt body...i got the x-citer from parma, only did that for looks. Honestly there is nothing wrong w/ it IMO. Maybe i havent broke anything is cuz i only run it on smooth hard packed dirt(track i built) and im real carefull when driving in the house. I dont go wide open into corners and jump things that are as high as me.LOl. If u get it, just be cautious w/ it.......You wouldnt buy a brand new say Jammin bugggy and go and right away start bashing it into walls and flips and crazy stuff( would you???)[]. I deffinetly wouldnt, wich is why mine is still in one piece and winning me races. If i were to mod anything or buy upgrades.....i would *recomend* the bearing kit, and get a lipo and atomic bb motor......things i havent tested but many of my friends have and they are all pleased w/ it. But i dont have that kind of money...id rather spend it on more practical things like fishin gear, or parts for my Jammin.

To small of a scale... I wouldn't really do anything with it (reminds me of the zip zap).

I may be able to help out with some aluminum parts if any micro-t owners are interested. I have always heard about Integy products being bad, so recently I have been testing them and I have found that they work great depending on how you drive your truck. I was never a hardcore basher so I really like them myself.

I don't know about any design it's going to be my first body and it's the smallest possible one too... I might just get some decals that I like and glue then in the body then paint over them.

I just took the decals the are suppose to go on the outside of the body and put them on inside and panted over them..then peeled them back and painted them....so now the decals arenot stuck painted on ndon. Same way w/ the wiows. The bodies dont come with window decals so they will be clear.....i just put them on the inside.....Only thing i didnt put on the inside is the headlights and grill....
