DURATRAX D-BAR TIRES,, IN ACTION
sorry about the quality.. but this is what the d-bars traction is like.. and trust me this isnt an easy track to drive,, the track is very slippery and traction is very hard to find ,, this is a track where EVERYTHING is important.. treads, foam, compound,,, even the 8th scalers had a hard time finding.. the track was watered once while i was there.. and i had to sweep away the track to remove large rocks that were just sitting in the lans.. well they were large for the mini..lol.,,
here is my crappy video.. it aint the best,, but its still drivin..

that guy i was talking to.. bought his son.. the one that was talking with my son,, a mini-t baja right after i did the video.. and boy did he have a bunch of problems with it..
the ppl in the store sold him a bunch of bull
i dont know why he bought the mini-t but thst thing was all over the place.. .. they told him to charge the batts.. lil stock and elite 1500mah batts ... tol him to charge at 4amps.. brand new packs.. needless to say both packs were dead pretty much before he left.. the elite pack lil itty bitty tiny wire came unsoldered.. and the motor brushes had solder on them and it prevented the car to drive continuosly...
he finally got everything worked out and then i told him.. he should look into getting a brushless.. his statement.. yeah they told me that the brushless motors will make the car go 65mph...
poor guy 200 bux.. he spent,, anyway im sure he is having fun with it now that some of the bugs are worked out

thats an unfortunate part of taking advice from someone who wants your money.
i've had the benfit of you and several others on one18th.com that have 'shown me the light' so to speak.
either way the truck looks good around the track............have you tried not taking the larger jumps like they were intended. what i mean is instead of a triple, maybe double single......just to see if your times are faster?
also, i read this thread on one18th after i already posted here. yes i agree that its the tires that are destroying your diffs, the added traction is transferring the energy to the diffs and those plastic gears cant handle it. I had serious diff issues when i truggy'd my mb4 last year, and i blamed it on the tires, because soon as i put the mb4 wheels back on, the diff issues went away. keep the videos coming jae. i have most of em stored on my c: hahaha

RE: DURATRAX D-BAR TIRES,, IN ACTION
I've never been to those tracks (or any track other than a home made one for that matter) but they both look cool. I just picked up a Vendetta ST recently and have started getting some of the hop ups. Cars are a new arena for me, I'm mainly an aircraft guy. I had an old Tmax a few years ago but thats been it. I bought the Vendetta because the 1/18 scale seemed like a blast, and your videos sold me!
My wife and I may be visiting a cousin down in San Diego in the next month or so, maybe I'll make a side trip to one of those tracks?
I fried my stock speed control bashing around up in Mammoth this past week on a camping trip so I figured I switch out to brushless. I've read your motor reviews and am torn between the Ammo and the Permax. I was planning on upgrading to ball diffs front and rear, does the permax tear those apart pretty easily???

its great,,,, the permax just has a lil more power and kv,, so it makes It faster...
th ammo is a great race motor and you dont have to worry too much about the diffs,,,,,, and with the stock size whels 19/41 would be great,,,,, the heat is good also
great planes ammo 28-35-3900
