Team Losi Micro T Steering Link Problem
As all of us micro T owners know that the steering link either comes broken out of the box, or breaks really easily. There are 4 ways to solve this problem.
1. Keep Buying stock ones[:'(]
2. Buy Carbon Fiber ones I saw somewhere
3. Custom laser cut metal ones
4. (The best way) Make your own out of a credit card or zip tie
I took the credit card approach. You will need heavy duty scissors (or something that wil cut the credit card cleanly) and a drill with a 1/16" bit or smaller. First, cut a strip off the top of the credit card the height of the steering link. Next, Drill a hole in one end and round off the corners with scissors. Now mark your next hole. I did this by putting the screw in the hole that was just drilled, putting an unbroken steering link through the screw on top of the strip of card, and marking the next hole with a screwdriver (pushing it in to make a divit). Next drill your hole, cut off the excess (rounding off the corners), put it on the car, adjust your steering trim, and you are done!
I used a Target gift card to make cool red ones. I hope this is helpful!!!
