holy ***** I'm STUPID [sm=confused_smile.gif] Now that I take a 2nd, closer, look at it, I see the arms are way different. Sorry about that.
I'm assuming the M18T has a better set up as far as steering linkage goes?

Constructed and with a few hop ups , looks like a good deal to me.
I'd beintersted to know what it weighs with and without battery.
> Do these take a full size servo?
~30mm max width, HS-81(MG) which looks tough, I'm still using a plastic geared JP Naro Max mini servo.
I can't compare to any other kit as I've not seen any of the competition yet. I'm trying out the metal spur and pinion gears now which makes a bit more noise (initially much louder). On 3s 11.1v with brushless it is a handful if your trigger happy. Even with my average motor and inadequate P10 ESC, low stiff suspension setup and low centre of gravity, the truck still pops up the front to wheelie on a standing start if you punch it. Depends on road surface and traction available or it can just turn into a crazed Tasmanian Devil right there on the spot LOL. Yes my truck looks like **** now but it still licks (rookie basher blazer) !
PS. I attached nothing... server bug

I'm real close to geting one. How do you like the steering linkage compared to an RC18T?
Do these take a full size servo?

Markhat 250, comapring my rc18t steering to a m18t by far the m18t is better. I have try everything on my rc18t and after lots of different things i am currently happy with my rc18t steering, but the m18t you dont have to do anything it has no slop. I have a hitec hs56hb servo metal servo saver and dp drag link and it reduce almost all the slop. Here are some pics of my rc18t

321, that is good to hear!! I have a Metal Servo Saver Ring and DP Drag Link coming in the mail and should be here any day. This is my last stand for the RC18T. If it works well, I'll keep it. You are giving me serious hope for it, if you have eliminated most of the slop. That's real promising!! So do you just have the metal ring on the servo saver and that's it? Or is there somthing else I need to know. I just have a metal ring coming and the Link.
So if we throw out the the steering issue on the RC18T and it's all dialed at this point.......how do the RC18T and M18T compare? Why do you like one over the other. To me, the Xray seems to have a trick factor mojo going for it, but you can't despute the RC18T's market place. That has some value even though some say the M18T is "better".
I'm super curious to hear your thoughts since you have both, and also that your RC18T has been "fixed".

We have 4 guys here who are driving the M18T. But compared to the RC18T the suspension wears out much faster. Take care of your pivot balls and order a new set just in case and you will be fine. The "rest" of the car is absolutely better quality than the RC18T.

I am talking about bashing. With all that dirt and sand getting inbetween. Not about carpet racing. A friend of mine tried these (coated ones) for our "outdoor activity" It wont wear out after two or three runs but bit by bit if you know what i mean.

yeah, I noticed that too. But I don't consider it an issue. Even when the balls are worn, they still function properly. I just clean them and use a tiny bit of Dry teflon powder in there. The teflon helps to reduce friction and doesn't attract dust.

Teflon Powder:

I use it on a lot of r/c's. Mainly on all my kingpins, inside ball cups, open diffs, open spurs, on bushings, etc... Basically any moving part exposed to dust and the elements. I rarely use oil to lube exposed parts.

RE: New proud owner of M18t
Guys....I am throwing in the towel on my RC18T. I too hope to be the proud owner of an M18T. I am new to mini's and the steering is so sensitive on dirt. With it being so sensitive, it is imperitive that you can control it, and the steering issue is a joke on the RC18T. I did the upgrades and just calling it quits and going for the Xray.
