vendetta st shock oils
so i here that people are putting 80WT shock oil in their vendetta ST's, so i ordered some Trinity 80WT 100% pure silicone shock oil. i got it in the mail today, and after installing it on both rear shocks, i compaired it with the stock oil in the front. the manual says it comes stock with 25WT shock oil. after compairing them, the stock seems WAY thicker than the 80WT i bought?!?!?!? so i preceeded to change the front two shocks and now have 80WT on all 4 shocks. the truck is now super bouncy. even with all preload spacers removed, the truck stands as high as it can (full travel). i dont know why, but it seems like the 80wt oil is way lighter than stock (which is suppose to be 25wt). is this right? or did i miss something?

what springs are you using
i use 350wt lolhahaa
u can also do the shock mod
just fill in 3 of the 4 holes of the piston
and you can use like 30wt and get like a super
heavy weight oil effect

ok, are you sure you are bleeding the shocks correctly? if they are too full, the truck will run really high. I race offroad, and i am currently using 90wt oil on all 4 corners. the higher the shock oil percentage, the lower your truck should ride when rebounded. i am using yellow (soft) springs in the rear and i am currently having to use 4 pre-load clips to have the truck sit flat. i am using trinity brand oil.

RE: vendetta st shock oils
yea i am running offroad. now that you said your running 350 mugen oil, that clears things up. mugen rates their oils differently, mugen 350 is NOT 350wt, 350 mugen is actually approximately 35wt oil (its something like 37.75). when i filled my shocks, i filled them like i do my 1/8 scale shocks. filled them full with the shock shaft all the way out. then work out the bubbles, then push the shafts all the way in and screw the cap on. am i doing it wrong?

RE: vendetta st shock oils
this is going to sound crazy. just out of curiosity, i tried putting Mugen 2,000wt diff fluid in one of my shocks. at first, it felt really thick, but after building the shock, IT FEELS PERFECT! i know it sounds crazy, but its not as springy and bouncy as it was with the 80wt oil, but its not so thick that the shock rebounds really slowly. i havent ran it yet, but the shock feels like my 1/10 scale RC10B4, so i think it just might work!
