Hello all! First post and micro r/c so apologies for the n00b question:

I'm looking to buy a 1/18th on-road car. I want a kit to assemble myself. I'm looking into an HPI Micro RS4 unassembled kit. Where can I buy this? Everywhere I look it is either RTR or ARR. Can someone provide me a link or store to purchase this at a decent price?

Also, any alternatives I should look into for an unassembled 1/18 on road? Any links to stores where I could get them would be helpful as well. Thanks very much!

You should look into the Xray m18 on-road kit as well. These are 4wd, and build very nicely.

I'd absolutely love to buy that RX-7 kit that RCmart.com is offering. Great price, great everything. However that is the ARR which is not fully assembled, but still pre-assembled and I really would love to build it from scratch. And it seems all of the MRS4 on RCmart says they are complete rolling chassis already. Does anyone offer the MRS4 fully unbuilt? I've seen it before, the entire car was in plastic bags and in part-trees and everything. It comes in an orange colored box. That's the one I want if I were to go for the MRS4.

The Xray is definitely a strong alternative for me. I've heard the quality is outstanding and the price is great.

Tough decision!
