Default Basic nt18mt questions

I just recieved my nt18mt and while im extremely pleased with the build quality im confused about a few things. Mainly is the diff break in , now i havnt touched anything on the truck yet except trimming servos, cycling batteries, shock oil blah blah... So they came very loose and I want to do this right the first time,do i tighten them a little before i break them in or leave them loose like they came and tighten them with the instructions from there? The next thing is battery life, how long can I expect the 700mah cell for the rx and servos to last ( I dont want run a ways). Last is just any general nitro related advice I should know as this is my first nitro and I would like it to have a long life.

The ball diff break in process is described step by step on the link below. The file is in pdf format, so you need adobe reader. Its the 4th one down on the page.
