Need help with Mamba 25. updated video again. Won't run on ground...
Alright so this is what is happening.
This is what I have it programed too:
Proportional brake with reverse lockout
50%
No cut-off
Normal
Low
I have also calibrated it.
http://www.youtube.com/v/bZhxXWqTj1s
Engine gets hot when on ground. When off ground and hit gas goes PERFECTLY! But when I put on the ground it goes sucky... I don't think it is gearing as I am running 22/45 which is the same as 19/41. ( http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/fb.asp?m=7060354 )

the tech support at castle is really great, they will know what questions to ask you as they figure out the problem. call them in the morning, until then dont try to use it, it looks like i could possibly be the motor just as well as the controller. if its the motor, you could blow your controller by trying to make it move, i did that once on one of mine and it was looking just like your video. (may not be, but wait till you talk to castle before you plug it in again)
good luck

Did you calibrate the TX too the ESC ? , you need to do this to set FWD/NEUTRAL/REV .
Try adjusting your throttle trim also .

Everything you need to know about calibration is in the manual. Follow the steps in order and exactly the way it is described. I have done it to all 8 or so of mine without issues.

Is your drivetrain binding? Do you have a castlelink so you can update the firmware. Have you played around with the start up power etc.?

With a hot motor, you need to look at gearing too. What kind of gearing do you have and what kind of driving do you do? If it's mainly speed runs with a tall gearing, make sure you give it a break between heavy workouts. Also, add an aluminum heat sink on the motor. Sticky bearings could be trouble too. How well does it free-roll without the pinion in contact with the spur?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but in the latest video it looks like the motor connections to the speed control are bare. Is it possible anything shorted out?
I take it that it never worked right since you first installed it. How long does it take for the motor to heat up while you are trying to make it go? Is the battery good? Do you have another battery you can try?

Well it is gearing... So I have to figure out my own gearing I guess. I crunched it today pretty badly.

The gearing sounded a bit high - did you back the pinion down some? Maybe a 15T to start and go from there. You can bash with better acceleration and lower top-speed and it can typically be a bit more fun.
