My "Wanna-be Truggy" Mini T
As I said Wanna be Truggy, lol. I wanted something a little different and instead of completely rebuilding a Mini T, I did it all from scratch.

really nice ride. good creativity.
what chassis is that. i've been looking at some graphite, and looking for some opinions. same with the shocks. whose are those, and how do you like'em?

What happened to the last post? It just disappeared.
Once again, that thing looks great. A little too much aluminum for me though. Your electronics are very neat as well.
Can you get better pictures of the wing mount? Also, can you get pictures of your track and competition? What cars are you racing against?

RE: My "Wanna-be Truggy" Mini T
Well thanks for the props. This sucker cost me alot. No one on ebay would pay for what I have into it. It has an anti roll bar to control it on the track. Won more than lost races and Im sorry I dont have any other pics. too much B.S. to carry a camera. No Lipo, but I am now running an RC18T Exotec so I went brushless for that. The wing mount is pretty easy to make, if you search in the forums at RC411.com you will find the how to on it. Just search for "Mini T truggy" I have raced several indoor dirt tracks against other 2WD Mini T's in Kenosh Wi., Milwaukee Wi. Zion Il., Rockford Il., Richmond Va., Asland Va., and Enfield Ct., ect. The Proline's are great and I suggest putting three holes on the outside of the tire and trimming the edges of the tires. I got my set up sheet mocking Andrew Gray's mini T.
I guess RCU had difficlulties on the site from the last time it was created. At least that is what I was told.

Is that your paint ? Looks killer !
I have a Mambafied Mini T too and its a blast ! I love doing wheelies at 40+ !
I like my RC18T more in the dirt though , do you have all alloy on the RC18T ? Pics ?
I would do the Exotek chassis but I already have 3 LiPo packs for the stock chassis and dont feel like shellin out the dough for saddle pack LiPo's .......

I was just curious if the wing was only held on by two screws. It doesn't seem like it would be very stable. I do like how the car looks, but I think the wing might be a little unnecessary for racing. I also don't see why you would need a wheelie bar. You have bigger problems if you do need the wheelie bar.
Also, I have found that the Losi slipper clutch creates drag because of the metal piece in between the two bearings. It gets much worse as it wears. I like to use the stock clutch because there is a pin in the shaft and it doesn't create any friction; just a tip. I prefer to use some radio adjustments and throttle control. You're only using a NiMh battery.
Not to be mean, it just looks like you're racing a shelf queen.

The wing and mount is strait off a Vendetta. The mount was cut flat at the bottom, and the top was slightly modified. Two holes need to be drilled to fit the mini-t transmision.
I would also use a 6800kv motor versus a 8000kv. You get more run time, and just about as much speed, since you are only using NiMh batteries. I also don't know, but are you having any cogging problems with your setup?
I found more pictures at the bottom here-

Jeesh Gex, By the way. I have had no problems accept for the basic regular problems. No cogging issues, No Diff issues, Nothing accept basic stuff. this truck hasnt been racing Pro carpet ya know! Im racing hardcore dirt at a club level. besides I dont race this anymore. Its sitting in my closet doing nothing. And I raced with NiMH because it was cheaper then lipos at the time. But hey thanks for expressing your concern.
Yeah, the wing is held on with 2 screws and it never has come off anytime it has flipped. And honestly I dont really know if it worked but it looked cool to me. I won alot of races with it and I put it to rest for a better RC.
I have the 8000 and I also have the 6500. the shocks are GPM and they are great!!!
But like I said I dont race the T any more. I went to the RC18T and went carpet and went Quark! Simple as that.

You know, I would love to sell it, But honestly no one ever pays what they are worth. It has all been rebuilt and just sitting in case on my shelf with even a new Spektrum DSM reciever in it. If anyone was to build there own it would cost well over $400.00 and thats a fact. I just cant see letting a well built RC that I put my hard earned money into to enjoy go for even half.
Honestly, If you are looking to shell out money for a great setup. Get into the Exotec RC18T. And a heads up The Mamba 25 is now deleted from Castle's inventory. The Mini Sidewinder is on the market and a better deal for the money all together
