Default Need help QUICK!!

I have a vendetta st and i was running my new battery. the dtx 1200 pack and all the sudden the car stopped moving. i was using it in hay/grass and it would move.

it didnt even sound like it wanted to. the steering still worked fine but the tires wouldnt spin.

i plugged the battery directly into the motor and it was good. but then i plugged it back to normal and it still didnt mork.

is it my esc? reciever?

i also tried the stock battery and got the same results.

please respond if you know anything at all. i need to have this thing running tomorow at my local hobby shop!

Try plugging the steering servo into the throttle slot on the receiver and see if the steering servo moves with the throttle trigger on the transmitter. If it does then your problem probably isn't your radio.

Do your wheels spin freely? Try rolling the car back and forth and see if you feel any resistance. Check your motor and battery connections on your speed control.

No point trying to repair an esc by yourself. I'd say that if it's still under warranty, send it in to duratrax. If not, replace it. The novak spy is a good mini esc.

The Mamba 25 will only work with brushless motors. The new Sidewinder Micro will do brushless and brushed.

the mamba should be able to run brushed... they are the same esc with a different sticker. Just update the software.

as for a brushed only esc, you're better off getting a novak xrs. Its cheaper, and the spy tends to thermal a lot on the larger 380 sized motors.
