Default Please Help!!!

I am looking for a new racer i think I want to go mini. I was thinking the associated FT rc18t. I was wondering if i could use my sidewinder 4600 in it? Possibly with a mini lipo. I saw a guy on youtube with a 540 motor in his and i was just wondering if i could. Also could i use the recevier for my 1/10 cars?

umm i think you have to get a certain mount for a 1/10 motor..
but dont bother with the 1/10 motors...
i say just go brushless..
hassle free and will last a along time...
also REALLY fast

So you think the 1/10 will fit? It will go faster than that becuase i use it in a 1/10 st on 6 cells and it goes about 40mph so the mini will be even faster.

i am pretty sure that a 1/18 size motor with a 1/10 brushless esc will work..
but a 1/10 brushless motor and 1/18 esc will not work..
not even a 1/10 brushless motor and 1/10 esc because w\that wil be strait kill on the drivetrain..
so anyways a 1/18 brushless motr will work with a 1/10 brushless esc

you can make your 4600kv motor fit in an RC18T. it may take some custom work and grinding but its do-able. if your brushless does 40mph in your st, then it will be slower in a mini due to smaller tire diameter and higher gear ratio, but it will seem faster because its so small. as for the ESC, you can use your sidewinder ESC with a mini brushless motor, infact, its probably BETTER to. a 1/10 scale ESC will provide more than enough amprage to power a smaller 1/18 scale motor. the problem is using a 540 size motor with a mini sized ESC because the motor will draw more amps than the ESC can put out. thats when you cook ESCs.
