I have caught the mini Bug....now what should I get for serious power??
I have caught the bug. I have been running all 1/10 until I got working on all kinds of upgrades on my Micro T. Now I want to get a BL 1/18. I was looking at the quark or mamba system...I really cant stand the micro mamba shrink casing. The real question is what is going to hold up (drivetrain) to the 3's lipo BL. I really want something with a sealed 4wd, So i was looking at the rc18B oR RC18T...also looked at the xray m18T. I need a we bit of clearance as the streets are not perfect onroad conditions and some off road would be a nice option. Please post me your suggestions for my next project. I dont mind upgrading to carbine ball diffs and other upgrades if needed, but I eventually want a strong ride that can handle some abuse. Oh yea also looking a detta buggy as well. Please give your opinion.

Yea I am looking at the Rc18t factory or the M18t pro....I already have a 3racing graphite kit for the RC18t....I bought it on ebay just because the price was to good to pass up. I can be a little ebay compulsive at times.lol

Does anyone know which drivetrain...diffs and such are stronger between the xray and the rc18t?

the vendetta is cool also.. great for offroading... but you wont be able to find a 3s lipo to fit... atleast not something that will give you decent run times..
but a mamba sidewinder 10th scale esc.. with a neu 1105/1.5y would be great... here is a video of mine running on the street.. the video has been edited... but the filiming was done from one fully charged lipo pack.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BnwDOlvbU2c
here is someone elses vendetta using a similar NEU motor http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S32YX7e01cE

Nice vid...I checked out your thread a while back and watched alot of the videos on it...Good stuff. So let me get this correct, you said in the video that you using a Mamba Max and a 1/10 Neu motor with the vedetta that is 1/18 scale>? If so thats the route I would like to take being I already have the MM.

But you can still run the MM, thats most of the cost anyway. So this is the case with any 1/18...that you can run the MM and a smaller motor that would be appropriate? This is new info to me, for some reason I was thinking you had to get a smaller esc to run on the 1/18 scale cars.

I have had my eye on one of those as well...of course idealy I would like a esc for all my set-ups anyway but all comes with time.
