Can this burn up the motor or ruin my car?
Hi, I thought about buying the Losi Micro T. In another thread I was told how it wouldn't be powerful enough to run on low grass. Is there anything someone can point me to that shows me what a micro can go on? Also, what would happen if I tried it on the wrong surface? What would break? Does the motor burn out? Just don't want to break the new car when I get it, and I can't really afford the 1/18 losi mini lst.

Micro's are really more for indoor situations, MAYBE really really smooth dirt, like sand or clay. Nothing will break if you try it on grass or anything, it just won't move.

The DT is 1/10, he has the Micro-T which is 1/36. He will not be able to do grass ever, not unless he gets some 1/10 scale tires and adapts them to his Micro-T which I doubt is possible.

If you put 1/10 tires on a 1/36 somehow it would not have the power to turn them, and the motor would burn out trying.

i think he was refering to the micro dt. ive tried the micros on grass. it doesnt work very well at all. ive had small leaves stop them dead in their tracks. same goes for loose or rocky dirt. it makes for a good laugh but thats about it. the most fun was always on concrete, tile, or carpet (but watch out for the hair getting caught in the wheels.

for more all around use go with a mini ( 1/18th) they work good on very short grass. but it will tax the motor so watch the heat.

I asked in another thread but could not get an answer. I saw a losi mini lst and and lst 2. Does anyone know the difference between the two? What does th lst 2 have that a regular lst does not? They are $50 - $60 different in price. Thanks.

I ask because I would want to create my own dirt track. Not sure what you meant by loose dirt. About 45 seconds in you can see. I don't know enough about track types. Thanks again.

thats not very loose. judging by the color and texture id say that its a packed clay mixture. when i say loose i mean this. its a macro shot of my track
