jes picked up some 'o dem cute lil Micros... (with pics)
I was on the fence and then along comes a 1 day 10% off eBay coupon and forces the decision. There was an auction for three micros- a Micro-T, Micro Desert Truck and Micro Baja, complete with a few jumps for $145 + free shipping. I didn't bite initially, but after 10% off, the auction was at $130 so I did it. I am pretty excited to try these out with my boys. 1/18 is just a little too big for running inside the house, especially for kids that don't understand proportional throttle. I will read up to learn what I need to do to these things to survive us, but I am excited to give them a whirl!

Thanks!
So, my first question is can I use my Duratrax ICE charger in either charge (down to 100mA) or trickle modes (0-500mA) to charge the stock pack? I haven't found anything yet.

I would charge the packs at 1000mah/1amp.. So if they are 1100mah packs charge them at 1.1amp (1 hour). Awesome deal BTW, the Desert truck is the most recent one and should be the dominant contender so take that one and tell your boys it is just your skills.

That's what I do and found that formula works well on any size pack, and is SAFE.
1a per 1000mAh of the pack, so in your case if the pack is say 400mAh go for something like 0.4a setting - your ICE should handle it nicely.

Thanks gents. So it sounds like for a 150mAh battery based on that logic is best charged between 100-150mA. Excellent!

I'm asking because the ICE chargers note charging rates in Amps.

You will want too ditch those packs for LiPo's soon , that and different motors .
They are fun for a while stock though .
Keep an eye on the spur gear shaft , there is a brass bushing on that shaft that wears out and causes slop to develop in the spur/pinion mesh and in the top shaft gear inside the tranny . If it gets too bad the tranny will eat itself .

You mean, 0.1 to 0.15 Amps - right?

These Micros are friggen FUN!!! At first I was pretty unimpressed... Then I charged em with my ICE and WOW! Those included peak chargers SUCK. These little things are QUICK! Oh man, I was smiling from ear to ear running these little dudes. Any RC fan who wants something different should 100% buy one of these.

Dale. You should be glad you got a micro-b while they're still out there. They're discontinued now!

Yeah a real bummer. I wanted one pretty bad but figured I would buy one down the road someday.....too late! I will be on the look out for one on the bay or similar sites. Might have to stock pile the front tires too.
