Default motor dead...

i FINALLY got everything i needed to run my car today and ran it for a ew minutes. 5 minutes later the motor slowed and a little bit of smoke came out of it. Now it work easily and does not move when attached to the esc and throttle pulled. it also heats up well past being able to hold it if i hold the throttle for like 8 seconds. Is sending it back to castle the only thing i can do? right now i have no motor because the turnigy ammo motor that was recomended to me has a bigger shaft then stock which i was not told...Any help?

get a 2.3 mm (or whatever size shaft motor you got with the ammo. more then one size may have been available) reemer, and reem out the pinion. Be sure to make it STRAIGHT

Just buy a new pinion or motor. Just don't try to run the motor with the esc. The magnets on the motor are most likely toast so it turns the magnet into one big short. With the next motor you use make sure not to fry it... Look for binding any maybe gear down.

Also, you aren't thinking of the Great Planes ammo, are you? The Great planes ammo is a beast of a motor.

be careful! put the pinion in a vise! (don't deform the teeth obviously!) when the bit grabs it will try to rip it from your pliers, or FINGERS, or whatever you are trying to hold it with. Drilling stuff not properly secured can easily land you a trip emergency room!

i did it fine and it worked perfect but now my ammo is getting hot really fast and its not constant. like one split second it will have a bit more rpm then it will drop then go back up a tad, stay the same for a few seconds, the rise and fall by like 5rpm. but i can here it and it is getting hot just batery touching thr throttle and its not even in the car!

Bad to run brushless motors with no load.

amm, no...I meant a reamer. But yea, a drill bit would work. A reamer would have less deflection and make a closer to perfect hole, but whatever.
