Default Vendetta Gears

I am starting to build my Vendetta ST, and am at the point of ordering the Ammo 28-35-3900 motor and an ESC. I plan on using the stock wheels and tires, and the Duratrax 1600 ni-mh batts for now. Seems like most people say to go with a 19/45 gear combo, but I am open to suggestions there. My question is, how do I know what pitch to get on the pinion gear to get the proper match to the spur? Also, if I need to go with a different spur, where do I go for that? I can't seem to find any vendetta spurs other than the stock ones. Thank for the help.

Atomic makes a few different size spur gears for the Detta, I found some on ebay. Some guys have converted to Associated spurs, but I have never done this so Im not sure if it is a major job r not.
Duratrax calls the gears 0.6 Module, and some other companies call them 48 pitch metric. This is not the same as 48 pitch, you must specify metric. Robinson Racing has 48P Metric that will fit your Ammo motor.

Thanks for the help, I ordered the Robinson 48p metric, 19 tooth, we'll see how that works.

I beleve that atomic makes a st with a 41, 45, and a 49 tooth spur gear. I think the stock sc spur gear is a 42. I used a 13t pinion when I had my ammo. It was great for the small track I ran on. I didn't need that much speed though.

I think the stock sc spur gear is a 42.
stock spur on all the Vendettas, other than the small wheeled TC and Rally, is a 45T

i run 19/45 with my brushless setup...mesh the gears well though, the robinson racing steel pinions will chew up the plastic spur verrrry fast with a bad mesh

19/41 or 19/45 are your best bets for the ammo motor. I ran 19/41 in mine and it was wicked fast. And yeah, the Robinson 48pitch metric pinions will work with the Ammo motor
