Norvel needle valve
Does anybody know of a fine thread needle valve I can use on a Norvel .061.The engineis an AME with a rebored BIG Mig venturi. I use crank case pressure and find that the stock needle valve is more sensitive than I care for with my current set up.
Thanks in advance,
Bob

Here are a couple of sources. The problem may be in retro-fitting the NV.

RE: Norvel needle valve
Andrew,
Thank you for the tip. I had not tried Texas Timers yet. You are right about retro-fitting the needle valve. I measured the diametet of the Norvel spray bar last night and came up with something like 3.96mm. Most NVA's are 3 or 4 mm. Looks like some fitting work will be necessary.
Thank you,
Bob

The Texas Timers ones are press fit/JB weld style. Larry's (kitting it tigether) have nuts on each end. You should only need a slight drill/ream to the Norvel. His are .160, just slightly over 4mm

RE: Norvel needle valve
Thanks again guys,
I was trying an NVA from kittingittogether but the spray bar hole was too far off center when I fastened it with the nut so I centered the hole in the venturi, put the nut on finger tight and J B Welded that baby in there. I just ran it and everything was nice as can be. The engine went from ultra sensative to very tame and easy to tune.
It may be all luck but the engine still runs well.
