Cox Sportsman .15
Hey fellas,
I was wondering if there is any collectable value in a Cox Sportsman .15? I know little about the engine except what I have learned at http://www.mh-aerotools.de/airfoils/cox_frameset.htm
Basically, if I had one in fair condition could I use it to finance say a Cox .020 TD? I don't actually own the engine now, but I might be able to get one for a fair price. Thanks for the input!

RE: Cox Sportsman .15
I had about three or for untill I sold off my entire vintage 1/2A engine collection a year ago. A good shape used one (I mean, in GOOD cosmetic and runnign shape) will indeed fetch $50 US to $75 (if you are lucky) but I have seen them for less.
They are a handsome engine that run remarkably well, considering the single bypass channel.
It should be good for at least 2 or 3 peewee 020's in the same condition IMO.
