Herr Engineering Pitts Special
Im just about finished building this thing with a magnum .15 up front, anyone out there flown one before? Is it a real handful or rather docile considering it only has ailerons on the bottom wing. Not much talk about this plane in any forums.Need some feed back, thanks StallSpeed.

Review the following thread:

I've got a question for you. What does yours weigh with that big chunk of aluminum in the front and how did you get it to balance?
Mine wouldn't fly with an .061 and I was told that the .074 would make it enjoyable flyer but somewhat docile. I converted the lightest CL .15 I could find to RC and installed it. To balance I had to make an inline battery pack with AA batteries and stick them behind the wing to the tail.
Although I am a fervent advocate of Herr planes they are lacking it two areas. Their molded plastic parts are no better than the junk included with Guillows kits. Their instruction sheets are hard to read and follow.
At their cost two years ago I was willing to overlook the short comings. At the current price these faults should be addressed.
