Getting consistent fuel pickup in a very small tank.
I've decided to make a combination engine-mount/fuel-tank for my Norvel 061 -- so that I can simply bolt it to a firewall and not have to worry about an separate tank or engine-mount.
I'm making it out of a solid piece of aluminum but so far it's coming along very nicely and should be quite light.
Right now hoever, I'm looking for suggestions as to how to ensure that I get consistent fuel-pickup. Unfortunately the tank (like a Black Widow tank) will be far too small (1.5 oz) to use a clunk effectively so I'm a bit stumped. I guess I could just position the fuel pickup in the middle of the tank and treat it like it was half the actual capacity -- but I'd prefer something that will allow me to use all the fuel in the tank while providing a consistent flow at all attitudes and G-forces.
I'll post some pictures when I'm done.

why cant you make a small clunk tank? I made a tank mount for my td 020 and it works well, and is smaller than 1.5 ounces thats for sure.
I know yours is going to have beam mounts right? (unless you make a thread in backplate mount) but its the same idea...

Those mounts look okay, but I want all the tank on the engine-side of the firewall (like a Black Widow).
This also means that the tank won't be quite so long (more short and fat) so the length of the clunk line will be quite short. AJ, where'd you get the tubing to do your clunk? The only stuff I can get around here is quite tick-walled and far too stiff.

I am using very tiny surgical tubing. I purchased it from a specialty shop that used to be around, catering to contest 1/2A flying. It was used for the pinch off timers for FF flying.
I also have some very small neoprene I will try also.
