I think they are all pretty good. I was well pleased with my HOB Spacewalker w/.074 Norvel. I thought the kit went together very well, laser cut, and flys well too.

yeah, the cheap-ass series are good builds. the spacewalker, stick, and seaplane they make is nice, too. those 3 are as good as any.the earlier hob are more work. all are good fliers, but the herr are large, light, and laser cut; good combo.

I've built an Ace simple 400 (electric) which flew well, a Herr "Sporty" small electric park flyer which flew well and an HOB Chia Pass 10 Stick which flys well, is pretty cheap and well designed. The Stick flies a TT .10 does ROG from VRG (very rough grass) and will do anything I ask it to. The last two are laser cut and the first one had foam wings and a very tricky aileron servo mount, not impossible just tricky. Stay with laser if you can.

I liked my HOB Tutor, fast & sensible construction. My wife is having me help her with a Herr Cub, and I definately dislike the goofy 3-piece wing construction, and would build the 36" clipped wing version with ailerons, if only to keep the wing construction more conventional with single-piece spars and no dihedral.
