Are ther any 1/2A ARF planes??
Are there any 1/2A ARF planes of foam or wood out there to buy? I hate to build, but like to fly. I see a lot of nice planes on this site, but they all seem to be kits. I will be using a .074 Norvel motor.

HI SMOKEY! Get a HOBBY PEOPLE catalog, they have alot of stuff, even if you have to convert an electric ARF. The CLANCY BEE would be fun with an 07. I think anything that is meant for a 400 motor will work for 1/2A. The WATTAGE WILDCAT looks like a winner, and it has a very nice covering job.

the Wattage Giles, Cap, and Extra are easy to convert to glow. All they need is the wood engine mount cut off and another plywood firewall expoxied on top of the one it has.
The Norvel .074 is a perfect match and fits inside the cowl easily. You can do a search on the Wattage Giles and see the one I converted.

Norvel has 3 models. 2 are a high wing retread of the Cox Katydid, and the third is a 4 channel conversion of the Cox Mantis low-winger. All fly well. They are balsa-built up, and plastic covering. Nice decorations, too.
